Agneyastra Energetics Launches ₹1,500 Crore Defence Project in Andhra Pradesh.

Kalyani Strategic Systems’s wholly-owned subsidiary Agneyastra Energetics recently announced the groundbreaking of its ₹1,500-crore strategic defence manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh.

The integrated campus will span over 1,000 acres near Madakasira in Sri Sathya Sai district and is planned to be developed over the next 2–4 years. The project is expected to generate around 800 direct jobs and about 2,500 indirect employment opportunities, the company said, adding that it would contribute to regional economic growth.

According to the company, the facility is being designed with advanced manufacturing technologies and specialised logistics capabilities. It is expected to significantly strengthen India’s indigenous capabilities in advanced energetics and ammunition systems, which are critical for modern defence and aerospace applications.
