Afcons: Bengaluru's Silk Board Flyover Ramps to Open by December.

Commuters in Bengaluru can soon expect relief from heavy traffic and frequent flooding at the Silk Board junction, with construction on two key flyover ramps expected to be completed by December.

According to Afcons Infrastructure, the company managing the project, the completion of these ramps is a major step toward decongesting the city's second-largest traffic bottleneck after the Hebbal junction.

"There will be absolute zero wait time for commuters at the junction once the two ramps are operational," said D. Murugadasan, Executive Vice President at Afcons Infrastructure. "Not just that, even the flooding due to the city’s rajakaluves (stormwater drains) can be evaded with ease."

Afcons is building a total of five ramps as part of a larger contract that includes the construction of elevated metro stations along the Outer Ring Road and road widening at the junction.
