"ACME Group’s 400 MW Andhra Pradesh solar plant is on track to be commissioned later this year."

Construction of ACME Group’s 400 MW greenfield solar power project with integrated battery energy storage is under way in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The project, being developed under the Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) framework, is progressing on schedule and is slated for commissioning this year.

According to Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Education, the project moved from state-level approvals to on-ground construction within just four months, highlighting the state government’s renewed emphasis on speed, certainty and execution in investment facilitation. He made the remarks recently.

The project entails a total investment of ₹3,000 crore and combines large-scale solar generation with battery storage to provide round-the-clock, reliable renewable power. The facility is expected to be fully commissioned by 2026 and is projected to strengthen grid stability while supporting India’s clean energy transition.
