₹35,000 Crore PLI Plan Set to Boost Electronic Parts and Sub-Assemblies.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is set to allocate over ₹35,000 crore to a new production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme aimed at positioning India as a global hub for electronic sub-assemblies, according to a senior official.

The upcoming scheme will focus on sub-assemblies, which are essential for assembling complete products. The scheme will cover a range of sub-assemblies, including camera modules with components such as connectors, sensors, lenses, golden wires, and glue; display assemblies; mechanical parts like resins, mesh, adhesive, film, and gaskets; as well as battery packs, battery chargers, and vibrators.
