Tesla widens India network, inaugurates fourth experience centre in Bengaluru.
American electric vehicle maker Tesla has expanded its footprint in India with the opening of its fourth experience centre in Bengaluru’s Whitefield, marking another step in the company’s growing push into the country’s premium EV market.
Since entering India in July 2025, Tesla has established experience centres in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram, with Bengaluru emerging as its latest key market. The company has sold more than 340 vehicles in India so far, driven largely by demand for the Model Y lineup, while simultaneously scaling up its charging and service infrastructure across major metropolitan cities.
Tesla also recently introduced the 2026 Model Y L in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹61.99 lakh. The new long-wheelbase electric SUV comes with a 2+2+2 six-seater configuration featuring second-row captain seats, an extended and taller body design for enhanced third-row comfort, and a claimed driving range of 681 km. Bookings for the vehicle are currently open, with deliveries expected to begin by June 2026.
As part of its broader India strategy, Tesla continues to invest heavily in charging infrastructure to improve convenience and accessibility for EV owners. The company currently operates five Supercharger stations across the country, equipped with 20 Superchargers and 14 Wall Connectors. Tesla plans to further expand its Supercharger network along major highway corridors connecting cities such as Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.
