Telangana ATCs to impart skill training in pharma, life sciences too apart from technology .
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday directed officials to accelerate the establishment of 111 Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) across the state. Crucially, the Chief Minister mandated the inclusion of skill training programs in pharma and life sciences alongside technology.
During a review meeting on the ATCs, Reddy also instructed officials to set up a model ATC in Genome Valley here. He stated that he would conduct surprise checks to monitor the progress of the ATC works, underscoring his commitment to the initiative.
The Telangana government had previously announced the establishment of ATCs in three phases to ensure a consistent supply of skilled manpower for various industries. Currently, 49 ATCs are already operational as part of the first and second phases of development. Chief Minister Reddy stressed the importance of industry expert involvement to ensure the training provided at these centers remains industry-relevant.
