TA’ZIZ Secures $1.39 Billion Financing for Terminal and Ammonia Projects in Ruwais, UAE
Abu Dhabi | November 4, 2026
TA’ZIZ has achieved financial close on $1.39 billion (AED 5.10 billion) in financing for two existing industrial projects in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, marking a significant milestone in developing the TA’ZIZ Industrial Chemicals Zone.
The financing comprises $928 million for the TA’ZIZ Terminal project and $460 million for the TA’ZIZ Ammonia project. Both financing transactions attracted strong participation from international lenders.
The terminal project, developed by ADNOC and Advario Star Energy, will provide liquid chemical storage and export infrastructure. The ammonia facility, developed by TA’ZIZ, Fertiglobe, Mitsui and GS Energy, will have an annual production capacity of one million tonnes.
Engineering, procurement and construction works are progressing, with Tecnimont completing over 90% of the ammonia project and Rotary Engineering achieving approximately 70% completion on the terminal.
The $1.39 billion represents financing secured for the two projects, not their total investment value, supporting ongoing construction and industrial infrastructure development.
