GMRC Floats ₹961.40 Crore Tender for Ahmedabad Metro Phase 3 Elevated Corridor

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has issued a major construction tender valued at approximately ₹961.40 crore for the proposed Ahmedabad Metro Phase 3 expansion project.

The tender covers construction of an 11.04-kilometre elevated metro viaduct and ten stations along the Vishal Nagar West–Bapunagar North corridor.

The development is expected to improve urban transportation connectivity, reduce traffic congestion and strengthen public transit infrastructure across Ahmedabad's expanding residential and commercial areas.

The proposed works will involve elevated viaduct structures, station construction, foundations, structural engineering and associated civil infrastructure.

The project is expected to generate significant opportunities for metro EPC contractors, civil engineering companies, structural steel suppliers, construction equipment manufacturers and specialised infrastructure service providers.

The bid submission deadline is scheduled for November 20, 2026.
