Tata Power Renewable Partners with Murugappa Group Firm for EV Charging Expansion.

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has partnered with Tivolt Electric Vehicles, a subsidiary of the Murugappa Group’s TI Clean Mobility Ltd, to develop a robust EV charging ecosystem in India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to leverage TPREL’s expertise in EV charging solutions and Tivolt’s expanding network of small electric vehicles across the country, according to a press release.

The MoU was signed by Saju Nair, CEO of Tivolt Electric Vehicles, and Virendra Goyal, Head of Business Development for EV Charging at Tata Power, in the presence of Shivram Bikkina, Chief of Solar Rooftop & EV Charging Business at Tata Power.

Under the partnership, TPREL will install and manage EV chargers at Tivolt dealerships, customer locations, and high-traffic public areas. The initiative aims to provide reliable and easily accessible charging options for commercial EV owners, enhancing convenience and operational efficiency.

TPREL has extensive experience in the EV infrastructure sector, having already partnered with various OEMs to deploy over 200 customized EV charging stations in more than 100 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Pune, and Kochi.

In addition to setting up charging stations, TPREL plans to explore integrating solar energy systems to power Tivolt’s dealerships and customer sites, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

This collaboration represents a significant step forward in advancing India’s EV infrastructure and supporting the adoption of clean and efficient transportation solutions.
