SBI Partners with Karnataka Digital Economy Mission to Boost GCCs.

In a significant move to bolster Karnataka's thriving Global Capability Centre (GCC) sector, the State Bank of India (SBI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM). This collaboration aims to enable and empower GCCs across the state through joint initiatives between the two entities.

The MoU was formally inked by Joohi Smita Sinha, Chief General Manager, SBI Bengaluru Circle, and Sanjeev Gupta, CEO of KDEM, with B.V. Naidu, Chairman of KDEM, also present during the signing ceremony.

Further solidifying its commitment to this burgeoning sector, SBI simultaneously announced the inauguration of India’s first "Exclusive GCC Centre" in Bengaluru. This pioneering initiative by the nation's largest public sector bank is specifically designed to provide tailored banking solutions and comprehensive support to the rapidly expanding GCC ecosystem within Karnataka.

The establishment of this specialized centre, coupled with the strategic partnership with KDEM, underscores SBI's proactive approach to catering to the unique financial and operational needs of GCCs. This move is expected to streamline banking services, offer bespoke financial products, and foster an even more conducive environment for these global entities operating out of Karnataka, further cementing the state's position as a premier destination for global capability operations.
