ReNew Power Solar Plant in Visakhapatnam to Get Foundation Stone Laid by N. Chandrababu Naidu.

N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to lay the foundation stone for a mega solar manufacturing facility by ReNew Power in Anakapalli district near Visakhapatnam on April 23.

The project is among the key initiatives approved under Andhra Pradesh’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024. It comes as India accelerates efforts to achieve 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, while reducing import dependence and boosting domestic manufacturing in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.

The upcoming facility, a 6 GW solar ingot and wafer manufacturing unit, entails an investment of around ₹5,400 crore. It is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the country’s solar supply chain and enhancing self-reliance in renewable energy manufacturing.
