Progress of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects.

The Government has approved 27 solar parks having aggregate capacity of 18,418 MW in 21 States/Union Territories till date. This was stated by Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal & New and Renewable Energy in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha recently.

The Minister further stated that the total estimated cost allotted by Government for the scheme for “Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects” is Rs. 4050.00 crore, the Minister added.
