Pharma expo opens in Mumbai

Mumbai: Pharmaceutical Expo 2006, India's pharmaceutical machinery and technological exhibition with CPhI (Convention for Pharmaceutical Ingredients) India, opened on Friday in Mumbai.

The event has been organised as a networking event for the Indian pharma sector and showcases pharma machinery and equipment.

The theme of the 58th Congress is 'Pharma Vision 2020: Roles, Responsibilities and Resources.'

Over 20,000 trade professionals are expected to attend the fair from across the globe.

'The event provides an excellent platform for pharma professionals to update themselves and for the exhibitors to showcase their products. The exhibition will provide a unique opportunity for international visitors to learn more about India's capabilities,' said Dr Venkateshwarlu, Chairman, Indian Pharmaceutical Association and Drug Controller General of India.
