Odisha Governor Highlights Urban Development's Role in India's Progress in Cuttack.

Odisha Governor Haribabu Kambhampati recently underscored the critical role of development at the city level in realizing the vision of a developed India. The Governor's remarks came during his one-day visit to Cuttack, where he reviewed ongoing projects and welfare initiatives.

Governor Kambhampati assessed the progress of key development projects and welfare schemes, urging officials to ensure their benefits reached all eligible citizens. "To achieve the goal of developed India, we have to first fulfill the dream of developed Cuttack and developed Odisha," he stated. "Rather than waiting for national progress to reflect locally, we must proactively transform Cuttack from the grassroots."

During a review meeting with department officers, the Governor was briefed on significant projects underway in the district. These include the Mahanadi Riverfront Development Project, Tarakshi Hub, the expansion of SCB Medical College Hospital, Chandi Mandir Redevelopment, and the restoration of tourism infrastructure at the birthplace of Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das in Satyabhamapur.

Collector (Cuttack) Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde assured the Governor that these projects are progressing steadily and are on track for timely completion. The Governor also emphasized the need to strengthen the implementation of crucial welfare schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, Subhadra Yojana, Mudra Yojana, and Lakhpati Didi Yojana. He encouraged banks to promote financial literacy and facilitate easier access to insurance and loan schemes for the public.

Later in the day, Governor Kambhampati interacted with citizens, beneficiaries of schemes, and civil society groups, expressing his satisfaction with the city's development trajectory. The day-long review was attended by senior government officials, MLAs, and civic leaders.
