NTPC Green Energy Arm to Commence 150 MW Power Supply from Rajasthan Solar Project.

State-owned power major NTPC Limited recently said that its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) will begin commercial electricity supply of 150 MW from a 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan starting April 18, 2026.

According to a regulatory filing, the 300 MW solar project is being developed by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.

The commissioning of the 150 MW capacity marks a key milestone in the project’s phased development. With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NGEL group is expected to rise to 10,276.40 MW.

The company said the development strengthens its renewable energy portfolio and supports its broader expansion in the clean energy segment.
