Noida Airport to Commence Operations After Diwali; Foreign Airlines in Talks.

The Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar, is on schedule to start operations by the end of this year, marking a major milestone in the region’s aviation infrastructure development.

Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu recently announced that the airport’s inauguration is planned for October 30, with flight operations expected to commence within 45 days following the opening. Initially, the airport will operate 10 flight routes.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also confirmed that commercial flight operations at the airport are set to begin by the end of 2025, underscoring the government’s commitment to boosting connectivity and economic growth in the region.

The greenfield airport is poised to become a key aviation hub, easing congestion at nearby airports and providing improved access for both domestic and international travelers.
