New Mangalore Port Authority Welcomes Shipping Secretary for Infrastructure Unveiling.

TK Ramachandran, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW), visited the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) recently to inaugurate significant infrastructure projects aimed at boosting the port's efficiency and security.

During his visit, Secretary Ramachandran laid the foundation stone for the extension of the truck parking terminal located near the Customs House. This expansion is a crucial step to improve logistics flow and reduce cargo handling turnaround times at the port.

Additionally, he officially opened a newly constructed security surveillance tower. This state-of-the-art tower will enable 24/7 monitoring of port activities, significantly strengthening the port’s ISPS-compliant perimeter security and enhancing its emergency response capabilities.
