New Cocoa plant starts production in Kelaniya

Kelaniya: Edna Cocoa Products, BOI company of the Edna Group commenced production of Cocoa products at their newly commissioned plant situated at Wedamulla, Kelaniya.

The Chairman of Edna Group, B.R.S.T. Edirisinghe handed over the documents of the first shipment of Cocoa Liquor produced at the plant to the Managing Director of Cadbury India Limited, Anand Kripalu who was in Colombo recently.

Kripalu along with Purohit and Bhatia (Board Members of Cadbury India Limited) visited the plant and expressed satisfaction with the progress of setting up the plant, which has been done under technical support from Cadbury India Limited.

Lal Edirisinghe thanked the Cadbury team for the support provided to Edna in installing and commissioning the new plant with a processing capacity of 10,000 MT/ annum, in a short span of 06 months.
