MCC releases funds for road underbridge at Jeppu-Kudpady.

Mangalore City Corporation released funds for constructing a road under bridge at the railway level crossing at Jeppu-Kudpady.

Mayor Mahabala Marla handed over a cheque, for Rs. 3.61 crore, to B.T. Kantharaj, Superintending Engineer and Deputy Commissioner (Development) at the civic body. The official will have to hand over the cheque to Southern Railway to take up the work.

Earlier, the civic body had paid the railways Rs. 9 lakh as 'centage charge' (advance amount) for the project. Railways can now invite bids to take up the work, an official said.
