Laurus Labs has announced a ₹5,000 crore investment to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh, a move expected to generate around 7,500 direct and indirect jobs.

The decision was finalized during a meeting between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Laurus Labs CEO Dr. Chava Satyanarayana in Amaravati on Thursday, according to an official release.

The Andhra Pradesh government will allocate land for the proposed plant in Rambilli village, located in the Anakapalli district. The Chief Minister assured the company of a supportive business environment and promised expedited land allotment and full administrative backing to facilitate the project.

The upcoming facility is part of Laurus Labs’ broader strategy to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and expand its footprint in the pharmaceutical sector.
