Lanco’s tender for Vizhinjam port gets cabinet approval
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Cabinet has approved the Tender submitted by a consortium led by Hyderabad-based Lanco Kondapalli Power Ltd for the development of an international container trans-shipment terminal at Vizhinjam, near here.
The proposal will now be sent to the Centre for security clearance.
The Kerala Chief Minister, Mr V.S. Being developed on a build-operate-transfer basis, the project will be operated by the consortium for 30 years and then handed over to the State Government.
A special purpose vehicle will be floated for the implementation of the project.
