"Kirloskar Solar Sets Ambitious Goal to Generate 5MW in Central Kerala"

Kirloskar Solar has announced a new strategic alliance with Kochi-based GSL Energy Solutions, naming them as the exclusive project partner for six districts in Kerala. This partnership is set to drive the development of solar projects capable of generating 5 MW, with an estimated value of ₹25 crore for the 2024-25 financial year, according to a press release.

Jackson Mathew, CEO of GSL Energy Solutions, highlighted that this collaboration will focus on both commercial and residential solar projects across the districts of Ernakulam, Kottayam, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, and Kollam. He emphasized the substantial potential for solar energy in Kerala, attributed to its generally sunny climate and available subsidies. Currently, the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy offers subsidies of ₹78,000 for residential solar projects ranging from 3 kW to 10 kW.

Suresh Simpson, General Manager (South) at Kirloskar Solar, noted that the partnership will deliver comprehensive solar solutions, including dedicated after-sales support, and promises a proven return on investment within five years of installation.
