"KEC International Secures New Orders Worth ₹2,257 Crores"
KEC International Ltd., a global infrastructure EPC major and an RPG Group Company, has announced the acquisition of new orders totaling Rs. 2,257 crores across various sectors.
In the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) segment, the company has secured contracts for T&D projects both in India and the Americas. This includes orders for 765 kV Transmission lines and substations from the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) in India, as well as orders for the supply of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas.
In a significant development, the Oil & Gas Pipelines business has clinched its inaugural international order for a pipeline laying project.
Furthermore, the Civil business has added to its portfolio by securing an order in the metals & mining segment from a prominent steel player in India.
Additionally, the Cables business has obtained orders for the supply of various cable types in both the domestic and international markets.
Commenting on the recent developments, Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO of KEC International Ltd., expressed satisfaction with the new order wins, particularly highlighting the substantial orders from PGCIL, which have significantly bolstered the company's India T&D order book. He also noted the ongoing strengthening of the Civil business's presence in the metals and mining sector. Kejriwal further emphasized the successful expansion of the Oil & Gas Pipeline business internationally, securing its maiden project in Africa.
With the current orders, KEC International's year-to-date order intake has surpassed Rs. 16,000 crores, positioning the company for substantial growth in the future.
