Jupiter International Commissions Third Solar Cell Manufacturing Unit in Himachal Pradesh

Solar cell manufacturer Jupiter International Limited recently announced the commissioning of its third solar cell manufacturing unit in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, marking a significant expansion of its production capabilities.

The Kolkata-based company said the new facility adds 1 GW of mono PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) capacity to its existing 959 MW base, nearly doubling its total installed capacity to around 2 GW.

The newly commissioned unit has been developed by Jupiter Solartech Private Limited (JSTPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jupiter International Ltd. The expansion is expected to strengthen the company’s position in the domestic solar manufacturing sector amid growing demand for renewable energy solutions.
