Jindal Power in Advanced Talks to Acquire Jhajjar Power for ₹3,500–4,000 Crore.
The acquisition of Jhajjar PoweJindal Power, promoted by Naveen Jindal, is in the final stages of a deal to acquire Jhajjar Power Ltd from Apraava Energy. The acquisition, valued at ₹3,500–₹4,000 crore, is expected to be finalized by the end of August, though sources indicate a slight delay of a few weeks is possible as the exact valuation is being worked out.

About the Plant
The 1,320 MW supercritical power project, located in the Jhajjar district of Haryana, has been commercially operational since mid-2012. The plant provides 90% of its output to the state of Haryana, with the remaining capacity being supplied to Tata Power Trading Company Ltd.
