JBM Auto Subsidiary Secures ₹1,800-Crore Deal to Supply 343 Electric Buses to Ahmedabad Janmarg and Others

JBM Ecolife Mobility Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of JBM Auto Ltd, has secured a significant ₹1,800-crore contract to supply, operate, and maintain 343 electric buses for Ahmedabad Janmarg Ltd, Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service, and other leading corporates.

The company disclosed in a filing with stock exchanges that the contract, under the Gross Cost Contracting (GCC) model, is to be executed within a year.

Ahmedabad Janmarg Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, currently operates 150 electric buses on its Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) routes. The city's BRTS network spans 160 kilometers, serving over 2.2 lakh passengers daily with a fleet of more than 380 buses.

This contract aligns with Ahmedabad’s commitment to expanding its sustainable public transport infrastructure and JBM Ecolife’s focus on advancing electric mobility solutions in India.
