Iron Mountain Eyes $400 Million in India Data Centre Revenue Over Next Five Years.
Iron Mountain expects its global data centre business to surpass $1 billion in revenue next year, with India positioned as a key growth market for the company. The firm is targeting $400 million in data centre revenue from India over the next five years, according to Arvind Subramanian, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Iron Mountain India.
Globally, Iron Mountain’s core business continues to be records management, which accounts for about 65–70 per cent of its total revenue. However, data centres and asset lifecycle management are emerging as high-growth segments for the company.
In India, the storage and information management company currently operates six retail data centres across major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Pune. These facilities have a combined operational capacity of around 14 megawatts (MW) and primarily cater to enterprise customers.
