India eyeing LPG pipeline in Nepal.

India has agreed to send a technical team to Nepal for conducting a feasibility study for setting up an LPG and natural gas pipeline between the two countries. This was after a meeting of Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan with the Commerce Minister of Nepal, Bahadur Thapa. Pradhan also assured the Nepali delegation that LPG will be supplied to the Himalayan nation in adequate quantity without interruption. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 200 crore which will be invested by Indian Oil Corporation. The pipeline will extend from Raxaul in Bihar to Amlekhgunj in Nepal in the first phase and to Kathmandu in the next phase.
