IHCL Signs 20 Hotels in First Quarter, On Track for 700-Hotel Milestone by 2030.

Tata Group-owned Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) recently said it signed 20 hotels in the first quarter of FY27, taking another step towards its target of building a 700-hotel portfolio by 2030 under its 'Accelerate 2030' strategy.

The hospitality company currently has a pipeline of 263 hotels. During the April-June quarter, it also opened 11 new hotels across its brands, reflecting continued expansion across key markets.

According to IHCL, 17 of the 20 hotel signings during the quarter were under its growth brands—Gateway, Ginger and Tree of Life. The new signings span emerging destinations such as Bharatpur, Trichy, Sindhudurg, Jawai and Wayanad, while also strengthening the company's presence in established markets including Mumbai, Goa, Agra and Kolkata.

"With a focus on our growth brands, seventeen of the twenty signings this quarter were across Gateway, Ginger and Tree of Life. These included new destinations and emerging markets like Bharatpur, Trichy, Sindhudurg, Jawai, Wayanad and deeper penetration in established markets of Mumbai, Goa, Agra and Kolkata," said Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL.

The company said it remains well positioned to achieve its goal of a 700-hotel portfolio by 2030 as it continues to expand its footprint across business, leisure and emerging travel destinations.
