ICICI Bank Pledges ₹550 Crore to Tata Memorial Centre for Visakhapatnam Cancer Care Expansion.

ICICI Bank, in a significant collaboration with the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), today announced the commencement of construction for a new building at the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCHRC) in Visakhapatnam.

The private sector bank has committed over ₹550 crore to fund the construction of this state-of-the-art facility. Spanning nearly 3.9 lakh square feet, the new building will be equipped with cutting-edge medical technology, significantly enhancing the region's cancer treatment capabilities.

Named the 'ICICI Foundation Block for Child and Blood Cancer', the upcoming eight-storied facility is projected to serve an additional 3,000 patients annually once it becomes operational. Currently, HBCHRC in Visakhapatnam has the capacity to handle 6,200 patients per year, making this expansion a crucial step in addressing the growing demand for specialized cancer care in the region.
