Hilton to Open New 195-Room Hotel in Chennai in Partnership with MGM Group.

Global hospitality brand Hilton has announced the signing of a new property, Hilton Chennai Egmore, further strengthening its presence in the city. The upcoming 195-room hotel will be developed in collaboration with MKR Estate Developers, a part of the MGM Healthcare Group.

Scheduled to open in January 2029, the hotel will be part of a larger mixed-use development, which will also feature a commercial office complex, Hilton said in a press release.

The new project marks the expansion of Hilton’s flagship brand — Hilton Hotels & Resorts — in Chennai, where it already operates the existing Hilton Chennai. The company said the development aligns with its strategy to grow in key Indian metro markets and meet rising demand in both business and leisure travel segments.
