GE Vernova Secures Wind Turbine Supply Agreement with Powerica in Gujarat.
US-based energy equipment manufacturer GE Vernova has signed an agreement with renewable energy company Powerica Ltd to supply 28 wind turbines for a wind power project in Gujarat.
The agreement covers the supply and installation of the turbines at the Botad Wind Farm in Gujarat, GE Vernova said in a statement .
The project will mark the introduction of GE Vernova's 3.8-megawatt (MW) onshore wind turbine in the Indian market, representing a significant milestone in the company's efforts to expand its renewable energy footprint in the country.
"The project marks the debut of GE Vernova's 3.8-MW workhorse turbine in the Indian market, a key milestone in the company's strategy to expand its onshore wind portfolio in one of the world's fastest-growing renewable energy markets," the company said.
India remains one of the fastest-growing renewable energy markets globally, with increasing investments in wind and solar power projects aimed at supporting the country's clean energy transition.
