Telangana Plans Statewide EV Charging Stations in Public-Private Partnership Mode.

Telangana Plans Statewide EV Charging Stations in Public-Private Partnership Mode.

The Telangana government is preparing a comprehensive plan to establish a large number of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the state through a public-private partnership (PPP) model, in anticipation of rising EV adoption.

The initiative aims to meet future demand as the number of electric vehicles continues to grow rapidly in the state.

During a review meeting on EV-related basic infrastructure, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao directed officials to formulate a detailed strategy to ensure wider availability of charging stations in both urban and rural areas.

He emphasized that with the accelerating use of electric vehicles, a robust and extensive charging network is essential to support users and sustain growth in the sector.

The Chief Secretary also instructed officials to develop a centralised, real-time dashboard to map and monitor EV charging infrastructure across Telangana, enabling better planning and management of resources.
