Flyover work apace but problems aplenty for road users.
For motorists, buses and four-wheelers using Dr. Nanjappa Road, especially from the Park Gate junction to Gandhipuram signal, driving on the stretch during peak hours is a harrowing experience.
With works on for construction of a flyover, space available for the road users has been reduced. Traffic snarls are becoming common and the time taken to cross the stretch is also becoming longer.
(The State Highways Department started works on the Rs. 162-crore project in July and it is expected to be completed in 33 months.
In the first phase, a four-lane flyover will be constructed for 1.75 km on Dr. Nanjappa Road, apart from seven-metre wide service lanes on either side of the flyover).
