Eicher Motors Secures Green Nod for Cheyyar Plant Expansion, Royal Enfield Output to Hit 20 Lakh.

Eicher Motors Ltd. has received Environment Clearance (EC) for the ₹1,104 crore brownfield expansion of its Royal Enfield manufacturing facility in Cheyyar. The plant produces Royal Enfield motorcycles.

The company’s proposal to the State government listed the investment at ₹1,104 crore, though a company statement cited the amount as ₹958 crore.

The expansion project will involve the construction of industrial buildings, including a factory building, vehicle assembly area, machine shop, engine assembly units, fabrication facilities, and surface finishing and plating infrastructure.
