Eco Hotels Launches Ayodhya Hotel as Spiritual Tourism Gains Momentum.

Eco Hotels and Resorts Limited has launched a new hotel in Ayodhya, aiming to capitalise on the rapid growth in pilgrimage travel to one of India’s fastest-expanding religious tourism destinations.

The property is located about 5 kilometres from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and features 33 rooms, a rooftop restaurant, a landscaped lawn, and a swimming pool. The restaurant, branded “Sahar — Back to the Roots,” offers satvik vegetarian cuisine prepared without onion and garlic, along with gluten-free breakfast options.

The launch comes amid a sharp rise in visitor traffic to Ayodhya. The city recorded about 57.5 million visitors in 2023, which surged to more than 160 million in 2024. In the first half of 2025 alone, the temple town has already attracted over 230 million devotees, reflecting the strong growth in spiritual tourism.
