Coca-Cola Bottler HCCB Sells North Gujarat Operations to Kandhari Global for ₹2,000 Crore.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd. (HCCB), the bottling arm of Coca-Cola in India, has sold its North Gujarat bottling operations to Kandhari Global Beverages Private Limited for approximately ₹2,000 crore.

In an official statement, HCCB confirmed the agreement, stating that the transfer will ensure optimal investment levels across its business while enhancing operational scale and efficiency. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals.

As part of its asset-light strategy, HCCB has been divesting company-owned bottling operations to independent bottlers. In FY24, it transferred operations in Rajasthan, Bihar, parts of West Bengal, and the Northeast. The company also invested ₹1,963 crore to expand its manufacturing capacity across India.

HCCB reported a significant rise in net profit for FY24, reaching ₹2,808.3 crore, up from ₹812.5 crore in FY23, according to market intelligence platform Tofler. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations grew by 10.1% to ₹14,021.54 crore in FY24.
