Bondada Group Secures Project for 400 MWh Energy Storage in Tamil Nadu.

Infrastructure and engineering firm Bondada Group has secured a significant 400 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project from the Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Ltd (TNGECL). This crucial initiative aims to bolster the state's power infrastructure and accelerate its transition to renewable energy.

The project involves deploying standalone grid-scale BESS facilities with a combined capacity of 400 MWh at two key locations: Vellalaviduthi and Thennampatty in Tamil Nadu. The primary objectives of these facilities are to boost grid stability, seamlessly integrate renewable energy sources, and effectively manage peak power demand across the state.

Bondada Group emerged as the successful bidder for the project through a competitive tendering process conducted by TNGECL. The project will be executed under the build-own-operate (BOO) model, indicating Bondada Group's long-term commitment to the project's success and its role in Tamil Nadu's energy future.

This substantial investment in energy storage technology is a significant step for Tamil Nadu as it continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio and ensures a reliable and efficient power supply for its growing needs.
