AXISCADES Aerospace and Technologies proposes large-scale aerospace investment in Karnataka.
AxisCades Aerospace Infrastructure Private Limited plans to invest ₹6,000 crore in Karnataka, according to MB Patil, the state’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries.
The Bengaluru-based aerospace and defence company is set to establish an integrated hub spread across 200 acres for manufacturing, testing and maintenance activities in the aerospace, defence, semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence sectors. The company also plans to set up a domestic research and development centre through global partnerships.
Patil said the investment would be made in phases and is expected to generate around 20,000 direct jobs and 54,000 indirect employment opportunities in the state.
He added that the company intends to develop aerospace and defence infrastructure, including missile sub-systems, radar and sensor systems, as well as Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities for fighter aircraft.
