Aurobindo Pharma Projects Pen-G Production Capacity to Hit 10,000 Metric Tonnes Within 12 Months.

Aurobindo Pharma is set to increase its Penicillin-G (Pen-G) production to over 10,000 metric tonnes annually within the next 12 months, company CFO S Subramanian said.

The Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical firm also expects its China-based manufacturing facility to achieve EBITDA breakeven in Q4 and make a significant contribution to overall EBITDA in the coming year.

“The ramp-up of the Pen-G facility is progressing as planned and is well-positioned to deliver a meaningful boost to profitability over time. Based on current production levels, we anticipate producing more than 10,000 metric tonnes on an annualised basis over the next 12 months,” Subramanian told analysts during a call.
