Adani Green Energy emerges as largest winner in hybrid auction.

Adani Green Energy  emerged as the largest winner in the 1200MW wind-solar hybrid auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India recently.

The company won 600MW at a tariff of Rs. 2.41 per unit. ABC Renewable Energy, and AMP Energy won 380MW and 130MW respectively at the same tariff. Acme Solar bagged 90MW at a tariff of Rs. 2.42 per unit.

A SECI official confirmed the results of the auction. It is the nodal agency through which the renewable energy ministry conducts auctions.

More than 3000 MW of bids were received for this tender although previous hybrid tenders issued by SECI were undersubscribed, sources told ET.

Earlier this year, the ministry made a decision to move away from conducting auctions for plain solar and wind projects.
