Adani Enterprises Announces ₹17,000 Crore Airport Investment, Anchors ₹40,000 Crore FY27 Capex Plan.

Adani Enterprises Announces ₹17,000 Crore Airport Investment, Anchors ₹40,000 Crore FY27 Capex Plan.

Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) plans to allocate more than 42% of its ₹40,000 crore capital expenditure for FY27 to its airports business, including a new terminal at Ahmedabad Airport ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2030, as the company ramps up its aviation infrastructure.

Of the total planned capex, approximately ₹17,000 crore has been earmarked for airports, making it the largest segment of investment, AEL Chief Financial Officer Jugeshinder Singh said. “We were close to 95% of our target capex this year. It has been a very good year from that point of view. We expect next year’s capex to be at the same level, around ₹40,000 crore,” Singh told investors recently.

The company is also accelerating expansion at Navi Mumbai International Airport, with Phase II construction set to begin as passenger traffic rises. “All the traffic projections for Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, and the MMR region show that we will reach capacity at Navi Mumbai in 12–18 months. We are accelerating this project,” Singh said.

In addition to increasing airside capacity, a significant portion of the investments will focus on city-side development at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Jaipur airports, aimed at boosting non-aero revenue streams and enhancing the passenger experience.
