Yona Smelters sets up unit at Vizag

Visakhapatnam: A ferro-manganese and silico-manganese factory, set up by Yona Smelters at Bobbili in Vizianagaram district, was inaugurated by Mr P.K. Bishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

Mr Bishnoi said the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant was in the expansion mode and it would need the ferro-alloys. Quality and timely supply were of the essence.

Mr V.R Krishna Prasad, Managing Director of the factory, said six acres of land had been acquired at Bobbili at the growth centre set up by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and the first phase of the factory would be completed by February.
