"SJVN Green Energy Ltd Secures LOAs for 9,000 MW PM-KUSUM Scheme Solar Power Projects in Maharashtra"

SJVN Ltd's wholly-owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), has been awarded Letter of Awards for a cumulative 1,352 MW of Solar Power Projects across various locations in Nashik, Solapur, Ahmednagar, and Pune districts of Maharashtra. These projects are part of the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana.

Secured through competitive bidding, SGEL won these projects in response to a 1,500 MW tender floated by MSEB Agro Power Limited (MSAPL), Maharashtra, as part of the PM-KUSUM scheme's feeder-level solarisation component.

The total investment required for these projects amounts to approximately ₹7,436 crores, marking SGEL's initial contribution to the prestigious PM-KUSUM Scheme. These projects are eligible for a maximum Central Financial Assistance of 30% of the project cost.

This achievement aligns with SJVN's ambitious vision to reach 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040. This vision is in harmony with the Indian government's commitment to generating 50% of energy from non-fossil fuel-based resources by 2030.
