Rubrik Opens New Bangalore Office to Drive India Expansion.

US-based cybersecurity firm Rubrik has announced plans to open a new office in Bangalore by mid-2025 as part of its expansion efforts in India. The new facility will integrate product development, product management, customer support, and global recovery operations into one centralized location, the company stated in a press release.

Rubrik emphasized its commitment to recruiting talent from India’s top universities to drive innovation and growth. The company’s journey in India began in 2017 with its first office in Bangalore, establishing the country as one of its key markets in the APAC region.

“India is undergoing a significant digital transformation, and we see a tremendous opportunity to secure its digital future,” said Bipul Sinha, Rubrik’s CEO, chairman, and co-founder. “Our investment in top engineering talent and a state-of-the-art facility will enable us to continue innovating and supporting Rubrik’s global growth.”

Rubrik’s Bangalore R&D center, launched in 2019, serves as a hub for data security and ransomware recovery innovation. Additionally, the company operates active sales and presales teams in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

“As data expands, so do AI-driven cyber threats. The rise of agentic AI presents immense opportunities for scaling AI on cloud platforms,” Sinha added. “India is a critical growth market for Rubrik, and we are focused on advancing operations and support to ensure customer success.”

The new Bangalore facility underscores Rubrik’s commitment to strengthening its presence in India while addressing the evolving challenges of data security in an increasingly digital landscape.
