Pak's Gepco to install 1,642 transformers during current year

Gujranwala: Gepco will establish 1,642 power distribution transformers of various capacities during the current year to ensure better service to electricity consumers of the region. This was revealed by Gepco Gujranwala region's Chief Executive Rana Ashraf Zahid, while talking to APP here on Monday.

He said work was also underway on Rs 533 million project to lay 168-kilometre lines of 11KV and 341km LT lines to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people. The Gepco chief said the target of establishing 27 feeders had also been met with the untiring efforts of the company staff and officials.

'As many as 15 new power transformers have also been added, while the capacity of 13 others will be enhanced by the year end to address the problem of power fluctuation,' he added.
