Nhava Sheva Freeport Container Terminal Begins Operations, Says Energy in Motion Ltd.

Energy In Motion Limited (EIM), an associate entity of Ravindra Energy Limited, has commenced commercial operations at India’s largest battery swapping and charging station for heavy vehicles, located at the Nhava Sheva Freeport Container Terminal within the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority.

The facility, designed to support the growing demand for zero-emission logistics, is equipped with a 3 MW installed power capacity and can service over 160 heavy electric vehicles per day, significantly reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency. More than 130 EIM-Foton electric vehicles already operating at the port have begun using the facility.

EIM said the deployment marks a key step in strengthening India’s clean logistics ecosystem and reflects its focus on innovation-led EV infrastructure development.
