Nayara Energy Signs Two MoUs with Gujarat Government.
Nayara Energy has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Gujarat government, focusing on environmental conservation and education initiatives.
The first MoU, signed with the state’s forest department, involves a ₹12 crore commitment over three years for the conservation and restoration of Khijadia Bird Sanctuary, a Ramsar site in Jamnagar district. The project aims to improve wetland ecology, enhance biodiversity, and engage local stakeholders in conservation efforts. It also includes ecotourism promotion, infrastructure development, and capacity-building initiatives.
The second MoU, signed with the Vidya Samiksha Kendra under the state’s education department, will support early childhood education. Nayara Energy will provide 3.75 lakh books to 1,300 government-run anganwadis in Jamnagar and Devbhumi Dwarka districts. The initiative also aims to enhance access to digital learning materials, train teachers in library management, and integrate digital reading tools into classroom learning.
These partnerships align with Nayara Energy’s broader commitment to corporate social responsibility, focusing on sustainable development and community empowerment.
