Kepco start to win a contract UAE nuclear deals

Abu Dhabi The Korea Electric Power Corp (Kepco) will start awarding contracts in about two months to start building the first nuclear reactor in the UAE.

Kepco heads a South Korean consortium that won in December a contract worth up to $40 billion to build and operate four nuclear power plants in the emirates.

The first deals would be for turbine, construction, steam generation and pipelines.

The four plants that the Kepco consortium was planning to build would all be in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and on the coast.
