ITC Hotels Targets Over 220 Properties, 20,000 Rooms by 2030.
Hospitality major ITC Hotels is setting an ambitious new target, aiming to operate 220 hotels with over 20,000 rooms by 2030. This revised goal surpasses the company's initial projection of 200 properties, signaling strong confidence in the growth of India's tourism and hospitality sector.
Speaking at the company's second annual general meeting on Monday, ITC Hotels Chairman Sanjiv Puri highlighted the significant opportunities emerging within the industry. He stated that the company is actively exploring all avenues for expansion, which could include direct investments or management contracts.
"As far as the roadmap is concerned, what we had said when the listing happened was that by 2030 we will have 200 hotels. As we stand today, we believe that this would be easily surpassed and going to be 220," Puri informed shareholders. He added that the management is focused on exceeding this new target, emphasizing a continued commitment to growth and leveraging all available opportunities.
The updated outlook reflects ITC Hotels' aggressive expansion strategy to capitalize on India's burgeoning travel market and strengthen its position as a leading hospitality player.
